Across their entire career, The Gaslight Anthem have released 5 studio albums, 2 extended plays and 8 singles.

The band’s debut album, “Sink or Swim” was released in May 2007. Though the album earned the band several of its most hardcore fans, it didn’t manage to break into any top music charts across the world. Despite this, the album met with strong critical praise. With some outlets noting that Fallon had a talent for creating lyrics and melodies that were catchy without feeling forced or unintelligent. And others praised some of the tracks, including “I’da Called you Woody, Joe”, which was often called a highlight.

The band’s second album, “The ‘59 Sound”, fared much better. It debuted as number 70 on the US Billboard 200 and 55 on the UK Albums Chart. It eventually hit Gold in the UK. Sales of the record nearly doubled after a surprise guest appearance by Bruce Springsteen along with the band at Glastonbury and Hyde Park.

American Slang”, their third album, was released in 2010 where it managed to reach number 16 in the US and 18 in the UK. The album’s title track found some success in Canada but just failed to chart in the US. Following this was “Handwritten”, the band’s fourth album that was released in 2012. And this was the band’s most successful album. It managed to reach number 3 in the US and number 2 in the UK. It also produced the band’s highest charting single, “45” which reached number 11 on the US Alternative Songs list and number 7 in Canada.

Their final album, “Get Hurt” was released in 2014. And while the album peaked at number 4 on US charts, it was met with mixed to generally positive reviews. Some critics found that the album didn’t quite reach up to Fallon’s potential or to the g greatness of their previous albums. However, it was still considered great music with a band that played in their finest form to date.
